Lobster Tails in Spicy Broth

09.18.14 by Jackie

As I mentioned yesterday, we had a dinner guest the other evening. He lived in Japan for 20 years  and now he's back to the US. We've met several times in the past and I remembered his love for seafood, so I promised him a special feast the next time he came to visit.

I wanted to prepare a special dish with luxurious flavors. so I served out-of-this-world lobster tails in spicy broth.

Lobster tails were pan-fried first, then sautéed in Chinese chives, Thai basil leaves and garlic and then dipped in a spicy lobster broth.

Give Me Seafood Please! Recipe

Give Me Seafood Please!

09.17.14 by Jackie

If you follow the blog, you probably know that even though we have many family members in our household, baby Aria and I are the only non-vegetarians and the two of us love seafood! Shrimp, fish, crab, lobster -- you name it, we crave them all!

We recently had a dinner guest and since I knew of his love for crustaceans, I prepared a special meal for him. I'll post the recipe and photo tomorrow. My first hint is that in my opinion this seafood dish is probably the most luxurious meal, and our guest wiped the dish clean. I left a bowl filled with lemon water on the side for him to clean his hands...hehe.

In the meantime, here is a sample of the seafood dishes I've published so far on PhamFatale. Bon appétit!

Lobster Tail Stir Fry with Indian Chinese Manchurian Masala Recipe

If you're ever attended an Asian wedding, you've probably witnessed all the seafood dishes at the occasion. Since Chinese New Year is coming up very soon, I wanted to share with you a festive dish that you could prepare. I added my own twist since my home is so multicultural. My husband Lulu's family is from India, so I prepared a garam masala-flavored dry gravy to flavor luxurious lobster tails

Lobster tails were deep-fried first, then sauteed in a black bean garlic sauce and a generous amount of ginger and garam masala. This finger-licking-good seafood dish was meant to be eaten with a large crowd, but since the beginning of this year, baby Aria and I are the last ones who are not vegetarian, so I called my cousins to join in the fun!

Mushroom and Lobster Risotto Recipe Recipe

Risotto might appear a bit fancy but once you know how to prepare the delicious rice dish you can make many variations. Today, since I'm still in France, I decided to showcase an extravagant, ritzy version with lobster and bolet mushrooms

You can prepare this comforting dish all year long. All you have to do is adapt the ingredients of the season. I added a bit of cream at the end for extra decadence and curly parsley for a nice contrast of color. Believe me, if you give this a try, you'll feel like you’re at a nice Parisian restaurant!

Lobster Orzo Pasta Salad Recipe Recipe

Lobster Orzo Pasta Salad Recipe

09.17.13 by Jackie

This is one of my favorite salads. I pan-seared halved lobsters and garnished them with fennel, lemon and celery orzo salad. To add a luxurious touch to an already luxurious dish, I drizzled the salad with truffle oil.

To ensure that my husband Lulu was able to share the same meal with me, I prepared the orzo salad separately from the lobster so both of us could enjoy it to our liking; Lulu loved his flavorful vegetarian meal and I absolutely adored the addition of seafood. Feeding a vegetarian has never been this easy!
