Feeling Green on St. Patrick's Day

Few holidays have as strong an association to a color as St. Patrick's day does. You'd probably think of Halloween if I said orange, of Christmas if I say red, but green immediately conjures up images of four-leaf clovers and Leprechauns.
I've put together a list of my favorites recipes that feature the color green. So without further ado, here's the list:
Spinach lasagna - it's a family favorite in my house and I think one of the best recipes to get the little ones to eat their greens.

Pistachio Pesto Pasta - Pesto is a one of the few green sauces and it mis mighty tasty as well as being really easy to make. And if you have any vegetarians in your house, it's packed with proteins. This recipe is kicked up with the addition of lovely pistachios.

Vegetarian Broccoli Risotto - An alternative for a main course is a nice risotto. You can add a little broccoli for color and texture.

Fresh Garden Salad served with Sesame Persian Cheese and Candied Walnuts - It's salad, it's green. Any questions?

Pandan Pistachio White Chocolate Cookies - This is my favorite way to celebrate St. Patrick's day. These cookies are insanely green and unbelievably delicious. Even though pandan comes from Asia, these green treats are sure to satisfy the little Leprechauns in your life.

Perfect Cup of Jasmine Scented Sencha-Style Green Tea - To wash it all down, what could be better than green tea? Sure the tea is a yellow color but the leaves are green. Green tea is a healthy way to end just about any meal and is a great palate cleanser.
No matter what you decide to make, the key to St. Patrick's day is to have fun.
