Though you may not know who I am, if you've been reading Jackie's blog, I'm sure that you've heard Jackie mention me from time to time. This is "Lulu", Jackie's husband. I'm sneaking a post onto PhamFatale.com without my wife's knowledge to let you know that today is her birthday.
I think it's pretty obvious that she takes wonderful care of (spoils rotten) all of her loved ones. We are so lucky to have her in our lives.
My four sisters spent yesterday preparing homemade cards and gifts, and woke up early this morning to get started on a birthday cake for her (using the recipe Jackie taught them, of course). Though you all can't be here to share in the festivities, I ask you to join me in wishing Jackie a very happy birthday.
Joyeux Anniversaire Jacqueline. Je t'aime mon coeur.
* In case you were wondering, the "cake" pictured above is called Rau Cau. It's made of agar agar and has a slighter firmer texture than Jello.

About Jackie
Hi! My name is Jacqueline Pham and I am a self-taught home cook based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am French-Vietnamese, born and raised in Paris, France. I live with my husband Lulu and his family.
My hubby's family is from India, so our home is a melting pot of cultures and cuisines with all the rewards and challenges that you can imagine. There are vegetarians, meat-lovers and allergies of every kind. This site is a way for me to share my love of food and interact with all you Femme Fatales out there putting food on the table for your loved ones everyday.
