Happy Birthday Lulu!

Yesterday was a very special day. It was my Lulu's birthday. And it also marks exactly 5 years since he came to Paris and took me to California to get married. He's my prince charming but instead of galloping towards me on a white horse, he arrived on a white plane. It's amazing how time flies.
The reason for the face on the cake is that we always bug Lulu's youngest sister and say that we're going to eat her humongous cheeks because she's so cute. It used to frighten her but now she just laughs it off. I recently found out that Baskin Robbins will, upon request, print a photo that you provide onto an ice cream cake. I thought it would be a perfect way to have our little munchkin and eat her too! We asked her permission of course and she loved the idea. I don't know if I've mentioned this, but she's rather vain, and the thought having her face on a cake was enough to convince her.
In case you're wondering, the picture is from our last trip to Disneyland two years ago. I took this picture while we were on the tea cup ride. You can really see the joy stretched across her pudgy cheeks.
The cake was a big hit. Everyone got a good laugh out of it and it was the perfect end to our birthday celebration.
Bon anniversaire, mon p'tit Lulu, je t'aime très fort.

P.S.: My little munchkin doesn't normally look anything like the picture. She just had that giant smile on her face because she was so happy to be at the Magic Kingdom.
