Risotto might appear a bit fancy but once you know how to prepare the delicious rice dish you can make many variations. Today, since I'm still in France, I decided to showcase an extravagant, ritzy version with lobster and bolet mushrooms

You can prepare this comforting dish all year long. All you have to do is adapt the ingredients of the season. I added a bit of cream at the end for extra decadence and curly parsley for a nice contrast of color. Believe me, if you give this a try, you'll feel like you’re at a nice Parisian restaurant!

Moroccan-inspired Chicken Recipe Recipe

I'm spending some family time in France this month. At the end of this week, I'm going to be cooking for my sister's family while Aria gets to spend some time with her cousins. This is the chicken recipe I'm planning to prepare for our dinner meal. The chicken is flavored with preserved lemons, dried apricots, fennel and harissa. The process is much the same as for my tandoori chicken recipe, but with North African flavors.  There is a large North African community in France, and as a child I enjoyed many similar wonderful dishes. I've learned a lot about the flavors from the region and have savored many spectacular dishes from its culture. 

The dish incorporates lots of sweet flavors, as is common in North African cuisine. I'll serve this on a bed of semolina with a fennel salad. I hope they'll like it!

Lobster Orzo Pasta Salad Recipe

This is one of my favorite salads. I pan-seared halved lobsters and garnished them with fennel, lemon and celery orzo salad. To add a luxurious touch to an already luxurious dish, I drizzled the salad with truffle oil. 

To ensure that my husband Lulu was able to share the same meal with me, I prepared the orzo salad separately from the lobster so both of us could enjoy it to our liking; Lulu loved his flavorful vegetarian meal and I absolutely adored the addition of seafood. Feeding a vegetarian has never been this easy!

Saffron Carrot Orzo Risotto Recipe Recipe

I usually cook risotto when I want to make good use of excess pantry staples in my kitchen. In this risotto, instead of using rice, I selected orzo pasta. I kept the dish vegetarian and flavored it with saffron, carrots and very little Pecorino cheese. 

To ensure a good, creamy consistency, I moistened the orzo risotto with white wine, homemade vegetable stock and a dab of butter.

I find that the combination of butter and shallots makes for the most flavorful dishes, and this is no exception. The risotto was so exquisite, I served it as the main course. It's filling and delicious; you won't be disappointed.

Grilled Naan Margherita Pizza Recipe Recipe

Margherita pizza is a delicious yet very simple concept: pizza dough is smeared with flavorful tomato sauce topped with fresh mozzarella and freshly-torn basil leaves. I used whole grain naan instead of the pizza dough, so the preparation time was even shorter. To cook the naan pizzas, I placed them on the barbecue grill and let them cook until the cheese was warm and melted.

The folks at California Lavash have just officially launched their new look. The cool looking packages feature my photos and I absolutely love how they turned out. But most important, there are now almost a dozen varieties of their artisan, all-natural flatbread, ranging from naan, sangak and noor to regular lavash flatbread.
