Le caramel au beurre salé is a classic French sauce. It goes perfectly with many desserts: ice cream, plain yogurt, some berries, banana split, apple tartelet or simply for breakfast on a piece of toast. Un pur délice!
This is meal fit for a President. Or two. A brace of pheasant and duck was the main course at Abraham Lincoln's Inaugural Dinner and will again be featured at President-Elect Barack Obama's Inauguration. Pheasant is no longer commonly available but I finally was able to get some at Whole Foods.
This is probably the only shellfish dish that I can still cook inside the house without hearing all the vegetarians in my home complaining about a seafood smell. I guarantee both seafood lovers and vegetarians will be happy at the table.
